April 6th 2008 aint another common day!

Because our FTN team visited two places Om Ashram and Mukthi

Lemme scribble down our wonderful experience with the inmates of Om Ashram and Mukthi

Forenoon we visited Om Ashram

Venue : Om Ashram
Date : 06th April 2008
Time : 11.30 AM

This place has got 14 to 15 inmates. Four of them are pretty old, one lady turned 99 this Monday and another one was 88 yrs old. But at this place, most of the inmate’s are paying for their ailments and medicines. Here they get personal care with ailments at a cheaper price and the inmates are mostly old people, who need to be under supervision all the time.

If you know someone who is financially weak or mentally retarded or left alone, this is the correct place in Bangalore we can approach for help, coz this is run by a private trustee.
They even take in charge of bed-ridden patience’s and they have regular health check ups for the inmates and there is a Dr who visits these inmates on a daily basis.

Silent moments:

We met a lady here, who is extremely well dressed and sounded pretty normal at first and we were wondering what is she doing here. The irony is, her hubby left her and she don’t know exactly wats her past or where she belongs to. She just knows someone visits her and she has a vague memory of the past. She got jittery when he left her and then onwards she simply smiles all the time or else cries for no reason. Aint we need to pick a lesson from this lady?

God has given us senses to smile, when required and to empathize when needed! Are we doing it? Look at this lady, she cant differentiate between happy or odd moments in life. Aren’t we extremely blessed ones? Hw are we going to make difference in such people's lives?

When we hugged her and Vijesh spoke something to her in Kannada she was extremely happy and while we were about to leave, she said, "am happy, feel like seeing u people again"
